About the Morris & Sally Justein Heritage Museum at Baycrest
Baycrest was founded in 1918 and originally known as The Toronto Jewish Old Folks Home. In its almost 100-year history, and with the generous support of the Jewish community, Baycrest has evolved to become a global leader in aging and brain health.
The Morris & Sally Justein Heritage Museum is the first Canadian museum to be housed in a hospital setting, and we believe that it contributes an environment at Baycrest that is alive, dynamic, and relationship centered. The museum is a valuable part of a holistic approach to health and wellbeing that actively helps to connect people to their heritage, their past, their identity, and their community.
